World of Warcraft Classic

World of Warcraft Classic

World of Warcraft Classic (or WoW Classic) has finally arrived. After years of continuous updates from its developers, the world’s most popular massive multi online role-playing game (MMORPG) that give every fan a glimpse of what this game was like closer to when it was initially released.

What is World of Warcraft Classic?

The World of Warcraft Classic gives a unique old-school experience because of its splotchy textures and low-resolution graphics. It merely recalls the era of the first World of Warcraft that every gamer has loved.

Thanks to the current update (Patch 1.12: Drums of War), the gameplay has significantly refined squishing a lot of game bugs. Now, players are encouraged to play as a team and take on strong foes instead of solo-friendly play.

If this is your first time playing this game, below we have provided some essential things you need to know about World of Warcraft Classic.

It is all about leveling

Nowadays, whenever there’s a World of Warcraft expansion, Blizzard developers are trying their best to usher their players towards the level cap as efficiently and as quickly as possible. The good thing about the game is that while you are leveling, Blizzard prepared some beautiful zones to tell a sweet story.

Currently, the maximum level cap in Wow Classic is 60, and as you level, it becomes more challenging. For example, if you are a caster, you might experience a lot of downtimes since you need more food to replenish your used manas. While you can easily trade mana with some fellow mages, buying food, on the other hand, is quite expensive.

Furthermore, abilities come with multiple ranks, and all of them can’t be learned automatically. You need to frequently visit a trainer (depending on your chosen class) to learn new abilities and spells. You can also use your hard-earned gold to buy one, or if you don’t have enough gold, you can use your WoW Classic Gold.

If you are playing for the first time, you will not get a flying mount until level 40. This means that you have to travel on foot while leveling up. However, one should take note that there’ll be no dungeon finder anymore once they have gained their first mount. To enter a dungeon, one needs to meet with their party in the meeting stone.

Flying Mounts are quite expensive

While some mounts can be given away freely, in vanilla, you should have at least 100 gold if you reach level 40 in order to pluck a starter mount. And besides, no one would like to reach that level without a flying mount. But to make things easier, you can always opt to buy WoW Classic Gold whenever you need a brand new flying mount.

Server queues

Before, there were more than 2 million players across the globe wanting to log in to the game, and it is more than the Blizzard’s server can handle. In some cases, a player needs to wait up to three hours or more. But, Blizzard has been continuing to add more servers to alleviate the strain. Furthermore, WoW Classic has some quests that require a player to loot specific monsters for quest items or keys. But since those monsters can only spawn sporadically, players in an overly-populated server is literally making an in-game queue to give everyone a fair shot at completing quests.

Server sharding

Another way that Blizzard implements to prevent an overly-populated server is server sharding. It means that there will be no more cross-realm zones features. Players won’t be able to find and encounter other players from different realm or server. In this way, players are distributed across zones evenly.

Your reputation is important

Player etiquette is also important not only here in WoW Classic but in all MMORPG games as well. When playing with your teammates, ensure that you are doing your job and avoid being lazy, incompetent, and greedy. Do what you are expected to do; otherwise, don’t expect an invitation the next time.

How to Get Started with WoW Classic?

In WoW Classic, there were eight different unique races to choose from, and selecting the right character is sometimes the toughest decision you have to make in the game. Not to mention also that all of those races come with the different classes as well. When picking a server, we highly recommend choosing the one with a medium population since getting into a highly-populated server is quite tricky, and you don’t want to get stuck in a queue.

Moreover, each race in WoW Classic, aside from a unique skill they have, offer exclusive bonuses when crafting professions. For example, the human race can quickly get out of stun effects while those that belong to the blood elves can quickly silence other players. If you are going to ask us for recommendations, we highly suggest choosing the one that aesthetically beautiful in your eye. Also, one should take note that when selecting a race, you must have the same faction as your friends if you plan to play with them cause otherwise, you won’t be able to play with them.

Once you have chosen a race and created your character, you can start playing the game. As a brand new player, you’ll be starting in the zone that corresponds to your chosen race. Playing the game is easy, just make sure to follow the in-game tutorials to level up fast. Take time to read the quest text carefully to avoid wasting time. And more importantly, enjoy while playing.
